We Saw Blue

An Audio-Visual Journey Through Brasil

The four women of world folk quartet Ley Line are both the subject and the creators of this visual art piece that chronicles their 2017 journey across Brazil. The three month self-managed tour, took them over 3,000 miles from the south of Brazil to the northern coast. The natural beauty, relationships cultivated and sounds of the road are what inspired their 2020 album, We Saw Blue. The audio visual component was created in congruence with the full length album, most of the work being done throughout the pandemic. The film was released in May of 2021 with a screening at the Paramount Theater in Austin, Texas and is currently available on Youtube and Vimeo.
